I’m a self-proclaimed chocoholic. I love rich, dark chocolate and can probably eat more than the average bear. It occurred to me that I have never shared my recipe with the world, and I decided that I needed to change that ASAP!
These brownies are amazing and come together in just ONE BOWL! You read that right. You only have to get one bowl dirty to make these delicious, rich, fudgy brownies.
This recipe is super simple, but there are a few things to note!
To Make these the best brownies ever:
When mixing the brownies, they come together super quickly, but be sure you are ready with the ingredients. There is a lot of butter in this recipe, and as it cools the brownie batter will become thick. You don’t want it to become too thick, or it will be very difficult to spread them in the pan.
Make sure you are using a METAL baking pan. A glass baking dish doesn’t transfer heat as well, and things just don’t bake as nicely in them, in my opinion! Gaby Dalkin, from What’s Gaby Cooking feels the same!
If you want to add chocolate chips or nuts to this recipe, feel free! I just love the smooth, rich chocolate, so I keep it simple.
It is IMPERATIVE that you place the baked brownies in the refrigerator shortly after removing from the oven, in order to obtain the gooey fudgy brownies I love so much. If you are reading this recipe, I’m guessing you love your brownies this way too...I mean it’s in the title, so if you like a cakier brownie, what are you doing here??? ;)
Don’t want to go through the trouble of ganache? No fear This recipe is just as delicious on its own!
If you want to make these ahead, they freeze impeccably well. Just leave the ganache off until ready to serve, or, as noted above, simply leave it off.
I hope you enjoy this rich and delicious treat. If you do, please leave a comment and let me know what you think on Instagram @sugarandsalt_co!

These are amazing! I love how rich and fudgy they are. Perfect for a weekend baking project.
I love love rich chocolate brownies like this! Thanks for the tip about the butter. I think I will surprise my hubs with this for Valentine's Day
